Through inventive design and direction by Opera Roanoke’s new Producing Director, familiar moments are illuminated in new ways, deepening the opera’s relevance for today’s audiences without losing its essence. The result is a production that honors Verdi’s timeless masterpiece while daring to ask new questions.
