In a stunning program, the YSO concludes its year-long celebration of Ludwig von Beethoven with a full-circle event: Beethoven’s First and Ninth Symphonies on one program. The German indulged his innovative spirit when creating his First Symphony, which is renowned for announcing its author’s originality. The York Symphony Orchestra and Chorus join together to perform Beethoven’s final masterpiece, the Ninth Symphony.
